Go to networking groups where there’s a chance for you to do business.  This means that the members of the group have clients that are similar to the ones you want. Or, it could be that the members can connect you to the clients that you want. These influencers are very powerful people. They make introduction calls for you as well as shorten your sales cycle by directing you to good prospects.

Do you know what to do once you get there?  Set goals for meeting. Goals can be either how many people to meet or what information you should collect. How are you introducing yourself? I sell industrial fittings is not going to create interest and a dialogue.
