I have had great success by limiting what I've been calling "meaningful" sentences to 8 to 11 words. It's taken some practice to not lose the meaning sometimes, but it has worked. I've also had some successes because I've pulled the word "consequence" into a sentence. Statements like "The consequence of not taking action now will impact the system" seems to get attention and helps start the decision making. The seminar was great and the information has been extremely helpful.
